Privacy Policy

Overview

MyGroceryPlan is developed by an independent developer. Your privacy is important. This policy explains what data is collected, how it is used, and your choices.

Data Storage & Sync

Your grocery lists, items, stores, and recipes are stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework.

If you are signed into iCloud, your data is automatically synced across your devices via Apple CloudKit. This data is stored in your personal iCloud account and is not accessible to the developer.

Shared lists use Apple CloudKit sharing. Only participants you invite can access shared list data.

Smart Features & Third-Party Services

MyGroceryPlan offers optional smart features such as ingredient scanning, recipe suggestions, and recipe search. These features use third-party cloud services to process your requests.

When you use these features, only the data necessary to fulfill the request is sent (e.g., ingredient names, recipe search queries). No personal information, account details, or identifiers are shared with these services.

All requests are routed through a secure proxy server, which acts as an intermediary between the app and third-party services. The proxy does not store your request data beyond what is needed to process the request.

Recipe images are sourced from third-party image services. When you save a recipe, the image is downloaded and stored locally on your device.

Location Data

MyGroceryPlan uses your device's location to provide store proximity reminders and auto-open features. Location data is processed entirely on your device and is never sent to any server or third party.

Location access is optional and can be disabled at any time in your device's Settings.

Notifications

MyGroceryPlan may send local notifications for store proximity reminders, expiry date alerts, and shared list activity. All notification processing happens on your device. Notification permissions are optional and can be managed in Settings.

Subscriptions

In-app purchases and subscriptions are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. The developer does not have access to your payment information.

Analytics & Tracking

MyGroceryPlan does not use any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. No usage analytics or behavioral data is collected.

Data Sharing

Your personal data is never sold, rented, or shared with third parties for marketing or advertising purposes.

Data Deletion

You can delete all your data at any time by removing the app from your device. To also remove iCloud-synced data, go to Settings → Apple ID → iCloud → Manage Storage.

This privacy policy may be updated from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
